State Treasurer’s Office To Host Free Financial Seminar For Women
Lincoln, Neb. – On Friday, May 8, 2009, Nebraska State Treasurer Shane Osborn will host a free financial seminar for women at the Embassy Suites hotel in Omaha-La Vista. The Smart Women, Smart Money conference will provide women of diverse ages and circumstances with the necessary education to take control of their financial lives.
“This is going to be a very beneficial day for any woman who is concerned about her own personal finances and who wants to take a more active role in managing her own money,” State Treasurer Shane Osborn said. “We have confirmed speakers from a diverse cross-section of the financial world who share my enthusiasm for providing our citizens with a better understanding of how our market lives and breathes.”
The conference is free and will provide a range of topics to choose from so each attendee can customize their schedule to ensure that they are receiving the proper education and assistance that best meets their individual needs. Breakfast, lunch, and all breakout materials will be provided.
Funding for the conference has been provided by private donations as well as our generous sponsors: Oppenheimer Funds; KETV Channel 7 Omaha; 1110 KFAB; Union Bank & Trust Co.; Nebraska Child Support Payment Center; State Street Corporation; Invesco AIM; Infogressive, Inc.; Wells Fargo Institutional Brokerage Services; UMB Bank; Women’s Fund of Greater Omaha; and Centris Federal Credit Union.
